Yunyang (Angel) Dai is currently a Ph.D student in Viterbi School of Engineering in the University of Southern California. Before joining USC, she works as a software engineer in InterVideo Inc. Her research interests include complexity reduction for multimedia compression such as H.264/AVC on embedded systems/VLSI design, transform theory, deblocking filter and etc. She graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with BS in Finance. She worked as a derivative trader for a construction company in Shanghai. Her main responsibility was to hedge construction material against market fluctuation. She received her MS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles and MSEE from University of Southern California. She is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Honor Society for Electrical Engineers. Her favorite sports including scuba diving, traveling and etc.
