Selina Chu received her B.S. degree in the Department of Electrical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and M.S. degree in the Department of Computer Science from University of California, Irvine. From 2002 to 2003, she was with IBM Watson Research Center in Cambridge, MA. Since 2003, she has been a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California. She was also a member of the Technical Staff at AT&T Labs-Research in Florham Park, NJ for two summers in 1998 and 2000. Currently, she is a member of the Speech Analysis and Interpretation Lab with Prof. Shri Narayanan and also the Multimedia Communications Lab with Prof. Jay Kuo. Her research interests include machine learning, data mining, and pattern recognition. Her current work includes designing auditory environment recognition system and incorporating audio information for robot navigation. | |
